a while ago, my mom told me about something that happened when i was about five. i came running into the room, crying. she asked what the matter was and i replied "my heart is broken". after some talking, it turned out that "my heart" was in fact a little plastic toy i'd had at the time. my mom told me how she thought to herself after she'd taped it back together,
how one day my heart would break and she wouldn't be able to fix it.
